We Became Us is a proudly UK-made offline connection game for couples, designed to pull you away from digital distractions and bring real conversation and presence back into everyday relationships.
Our story
A few years into their relationship, Matty hit a moment a lot of couples reach but rarely talk about. Nothing broken, just no longer growing, with screen distractions and routine quietly crowding out proper time together, until the two of them started to feel more like flatmates than lovers. That’s when it dawned on him: a relationship is a muscle, and two “I”s only become one “us” if you work at it, on purpose. He also realised a good relationship touches every area of your life, from your mood to your health, even how well you do at work, and he wasn’t ready to let it slip away without a fight.
So, purely for the two of them, he put together a simple offline game, not just one date night but something to come back to week after week. The first time they played, something shifted, the walls came down, the laughter came back, and for a while they weren’t just two people getting through the day, they were properly, helplessly in love again. He knew then he’d found something worth sharing, so he spoke to many other couples and realised they were all wrestling with the same thing, which only made him understand it more deeply.
That’s how We Became Us was born: an offline connection game built from one couple’s love, made to help others find their way back to each other too.
